Lewandos was established in 1829 in Boston as a dye house. Soon Lewandos introduced the Northeast to the French process of dry cleansing fabrics. The mother cat represented the personal and extraordinary care given Lewandos’ customers. She was also an expert dyer - as you can see by the different colored chicks in our original logo. Dry cleaning services have changed a lot since 1829. Today Lewandos applies the newest technology available to the fine and cleaning of garments and fabrics. But one thing will never change - Lewandos’ commitment to quality. Dedication to personal and extraordinary care still exists and is still represented by the mother cat and her chicks.
